For 2010, two NEW Sets of School Holds are here: With the MOON Board gaining popularity among fans all over the world, we've improved the range of the collection and the versatility of the system. We designed two new sets of 50 School Holds, New Set A and New Set B. These sets are made from six subsets: click the images to see the full set of 50. The actual set we'll deliver will be black. The larger of the holds also come with a counter-sunk hole so you can easily add a screw as a precaution against spinning.

The new sets differ quite a lot from the originals. Made from polyester resin, they are on average quite a bit larger, a bit heavier, and with a more aggressive texture (this can be very lightly sanded if preferred). Though we did include a reasonable number of small crimps, which is the meat of the orginal set, the emphasis is on variety with pockets, pinches and subtle slopers featuring more strongly. They offer slightly greater possibiliies for problems in the lower grades as well as hard test pieces. While these new sets are designed with the 40-degree MOON Board in mind, like all the MOON holds, they will make a great addition to any climbing gym or home woody.
